Moore the Merrier for Sydney's Training Ranks
Sydney's racing stocks are soon to be elevated by the addition of one of the world's most recognisable trainers. John Moore, at the age of 70, is considered too old to continue his decades long career in Hong Kong despite winning umpteen trainer championships and managing the careers of many of the territory's champion racehorses including Beauty Generation. Sydney almost missed out on John Moore's prized skills after initially only offering him four boxes, however scmp.com reports he will now train out of Rosehill with his brother Gary who currently has 20 boxes. Retention of the boxes will be subject to monthly key performance indicators. The in-coming trainer said, "Everything did fall into place after what could have been a huge hiccup. At the moment we have 20 boxes which is what we wanted. I am really very thankful to the ATC for giving us the opportunity to retain what we have already got and now let's kick on and train some winners."
