L'Cosmo Hunts Another Win Before Sale

Wednesday, 17th June 2020

Peter and Paul Snowden-trained L'Cosmo (Lonhro-Cosmic Endeavour, by Northern Meteor) is looking for a second win at today's Warwick Farm meeting, reports racingnsw.com.au. The rising 4YO filly is listed to go through the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale in July, and Peter Snowden said, "She's going well but she needs to come back (in class) and get a win if she can against lesser opposition and get her confidence up. I still think there is a future for her but she needs to do it quickly because she is coming up for a sale pretty soon." Four starts ago, she ran second to Spendthrift Australia's promising Dirty Work (Written Tycoon-Maidel, by Ad Valorem) who won the Listed Ortensia Stakes, then ran second to Fituese (Deep Field-Cattalo, by Tiger Hill) who subsequently won the Listed Denise's Joy Stakes, a race L'Cosmo ran fifth in. At her last start, L'Cosmo ran on from near last to finish four lengths behind the winner on a heavy track, and Snowden said, "The only thing I'm worried about is the heavy ground. Apart from the (Denise's Joy) the only times she's been out of the placings has been on heavy 8." L'Cosmo is the only runner to date from dual Gr1 winner Cosmic Endeavour (Northern Meteor-Crevette, by Danehill), and her second and third dams are also stakes winners. This is the family of Fairy King Prawn, Easy Rocking, Mrs Kipling, Ana Royale, and Anise.
