Weekend Black Type Schedule

There are just six Group and Listed races in Australia this weekend, however superb racing from around the globe adds plenty to enthuse over. Racing in the UK includes the reappearance of superstar 2YO, now 3YO, Pinatubo who makes his return in the Gr1 Qipco 2,000 Guineas. There are also three Gr1s in the US, two Gr1s in South Africa, plus Japan’s Gr1 Yasuda Kinen. Back home, and Eagle Farm appears likely to be blessed with a 23 degree day for its Gr1 JJ Atkins-Stradbroke double where reputations are waiting to be made and lost. Meanwhile, in Perth, although it might only be a Listed race, the clash of Gr1-winning 3YO filly Kay Cee and rising star 3YO gelding Laverrod in the Raconteur Stakes should make for riveting viewing. Whilst every effort is made to ensure information and the below race times (in Australian Eastern Time order) are accurate, please consult official race cards if certainty is required.
