Leading NZ Vendors Lead From the Front
Ahead of next week's time-honoured NZ Bloodstock National Yearling Sales Series, two of the nation's greatest vendors are among consignors whose bloodstock would be in high demand at Australian sales, but who have nonetheless kept their entire yearlings drafts intact for the Karaka showpiece. The Chittick family's Waikato Stud is offering 73 yearlings (all Book 1), including 36 by multiple champion sire Savabeel whose progeny thrive in Australia. The same all-in policy has been enacted by Cambridge Stud which has consigned a large draft of 53 yearlings. New owners Brendan and Jo Lindsay have stuck to the policy of Sir Patrick Hogan in recent years to sell everything under the NZB banner. Other large vendors with significant drafts include Haunui Farm, Pencarrow, Rich Hill, Westbury, Windsor Park and Little Avondale. Click here for highlights of their respective drafts.
