Clark Still Struggling After November Fall
Champion South Australian jockey Raquel Clark has revealed that she is still contending with a number of constrictive health issues as a result of a nasty fall back in November, naming consistent headaches as the most debilitating. "I am waking up with a headache and pretty much going to sleep with a headache. That depends on the noise and what's going on around me with how that goes," Clark told racing.com when in Victoria last week for the National Jockey Trust's T20 charity cricket game. "I am trying to get my balance back on track and my eyesight is getting there. I think that's the thing I've improved with the most." Clark's past-the-post fall from the mare Goodgee on November 9 has indefinitely halted the career of one of the state's most promising talents. "Racing will be here forever for me to come back to. So I am just going to leave it to the doctors," she said. "I'm sure they will let me know when I can return."
