Noogee Park On a Classic Sale High
With less than three weeks to the 2020 Inglis Classic Sale at Riverside Stables, Scone-based Noogee Park Thoroughbreds is still on cloud-nine after its home-bred graduate Beat The Clock (Hinchinbrook) added a fourth Gr1 Hong Kong Sprint feature to his record last Sunday. According to Inglis, which sold Beat The Clock as a yearling for $70,000 from the Yarraman Park draft to kiwi pinhooker Prima Park, Noogee Park's co-principal Jilly Henderson is over the moon; "Any horse we breed we follow closely and we're just so proud that our boutique operation has produced a horse of this calibre," said Henderson who purchased Beat The Clock's dam Flion Fenena (Lion Hunter) from Inglis Digital's platform bloodstock.com.au. "For the amount of horses we have, to have bred an absolute superstar just gives us a big thrill. Noogee Park has had a great run of late, obviously we raised Gr1 Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign, plus recent Gr1 Winx Stakes winner Samadoubt. At next month's Inglis Classic Sale, the farm will offer four yearlings, including the Foxwedge half-brother to recent dual Gr3 winner Deprive and 2019's Classic Sale third top-priced lot – a $400,000 yearling sold to Yu Long Investments.
