Mystic Journey Has a Soft Tissue Infection
With voting for the $5 million All-Star Mile open to the public from today, Tasmanian trainer Adam Trinder has advised Victorian Stewards that Mystic Journey (Needs Further) is suffering from a soft tissue infection in her near fore. According to AAP, the winner of last year’s inaugural All-Star Mile is undergoing veterinary care and will consequently “miss several days of track work”. Mystic Journey will attempt to defend her crown in the 2020 renewal of the race, held at Caulfield this year after being run at Flemington in 2019. Also the winner of the Gr1 Australian Guineas against the colts, the world’s richest mile is the only race she currently holds a nomination for.
