Significant Refurb Starts for Gulfstream Park

Thursday, 28th November 2019

In the US, the world renowned Gulfstream Park in Florida is undergoing a $20 million modernisation in preparation for its upcoming Championship Meeting, commencing on November 29. The meeting, which features 98 stakes races (of which 39 are graded), is highlighted by the $16 million Gr1 Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational Series on January 25, by which point The Stronach Group hope to have completed the enhancements to the venue. According to bloodhorse.com, the remodelled Gulfstream Park will cater to every type of attendee, and Joe Lopez, Vice President of Hospitality and Venue Management, is confident that the changes will elevate the venue even further. "The experience of attending a sports or entertainment event has vastly changed in the past 10 years. Fans expect new technology, a variety of seating and dining options, and unique VIP experiences. The Stronach Group continues to lead the way in reimagining the Thoroughbred racing experience as well as other unique entertainment events we will have at Gulfstream Park."
