Heathcote Bullish About Stakes Debutant

Thursday, 21st November 2019

On Saturday, at Doomben in Brisbane, trainer Rob Heathcote will get an opportunity to see if the stable's 6YO gelding Deep Image (Testa Rossa-Starwish, by Redoute's Choice) is up to stakes company. Set to be ridden by accomplished jockey Robbie Fradd ,who has ridden him to two wins and two placings from his past 4 starts, Deep Image has only been with the stable for three starts but Heathcote likes what he sees. According to AAP, the leading Brisbane trainer noted after his last win, "That should set Deep Image up nicely for the summer… His only defeat for us was when he was very unlucky and trapped off the track from wide barrier when second to Tambo's Mate who has since run second in stakes company." Deep Image, who will jump from barrier 2, is set to carry 54kg in the Listed Tattersalls' Recognition Stakes (1350m). The other Listed event on the program is the Listed Spirit of Boom Classic.
