Forrester Injured at Wednesday Trackwork
Experienced jockey Kevin Forrester was injured following a trackwork fall on Wednesday morning at Cranbourne racecourse, reports racing.com. The 58-year-old rider was transported to the Alfred Hospital with a suspected pelvis injury. Forrester last rode competitively at Cranbourne on January 18, where he had two rides at the meeting and won both races. In recent times Forrester has established an association with wet-track specialist sprinter Jungle Edge (Dubawi-Jungle Girl, by Carnegie). According to the report, Forrester has ridden 680 winners including Cup winners such as the Australian Cup on Admiral Lincoln in 1984, as well as the the Brisbane Cup, Adelaide Cup, Sandown Cup, Easter Cup, Carlyon Cup, Kuala Lumpur Gold Cup, Otard Cup and Selangor Cup.
