Enticing Star Rock-Solid For Sydney Debut
The non-acceptance of Arcadia Queen (flagged as probable by TAB) for Saturday's Gr2 Golden Pendant (1400m) has seen her stable-mate and fellow Bob Peters-owned The Everest runner Enticing Star installed a strong favourite at $2.70. Facing just six runners, the sparingly campaigned 6YO mare has won 8 of her 10 starts (and her two Sydney trials), with the bush telegraph from Perth long suggesting she is the potential equal of Arcadia Queen, and perhaps better suited to the 1200m of October's big race. Saturday will put that belief to the test, where her opposition includes multiple Gr1-placed Champagne Cuddles, Waller top-weight and last start Gr1-winner Invincibella, Gr1-placed Fundamentalist, promising Mizzy (two stakes victories from her past two starts), and handy Dyslexic. See the below video for Peters' thoughts on his two The Everest runners.
