Beauty Generation Trials Promisingly
Ahead of his seasonal race return, multiple Champion Hong Kong galloper Beauty Generation put up an ultra impressive trial at Sha Tin on Tuesday, reports hkjc.com. The sensational miler competed in a 1000m trial and close to within 1.25-lengths behind boom sprinter Aethero (a half-brother to The Everest runner Classique Legend), before moving past the four horses in front of him to pull away. Entered for next week’s Gr3 Celebration Cup Handicap (1400m), Beauty generation pleased trainer John Moore, who commented, “I’m very pleased… He’ll go into the race slightly underdone, which is taken for granted at this stage of his prep, but Zac (Purton) wasn’t concerned that the horse’s age had caught up with him or anything like that.” Undefeated in his past nine starts, the NZB graduate’s primary target is the Gr1 Longines Hong Kong Mile. Beauty Generation has won the past two runnings of the Celebration Cup, and Moore doesn’t seem to think he won’t make it three on the trot.
