Cummings Drops Alizee Everest Hint

Thursday, 19th September 2019

Godolphin trainer James Cummings has dropped a hint to fellow The Everest slot holders that Alizee is ready, waiting and willing if a suitor calls. Cummings made the observation at the end of his thoughts regarding Godolphin’s likely The Everest runner Osborne Bulls (their own slot) ahead of Saturday’s Gr2 The Shorts (100m) at Royal Randwick. With The Shorts looking likely to lose a few runners due to what was a very heavy track on Thursday morning, earlier in the week Cummings made the following comment about Osborne Bulls’ asignment: “What I like about this race is that he isn’t in a Gr1 first-up and he doesn’t have to make a statement to get into The Everest. There’s no pressure on him in that respect… Importantly, we have him in a position where he can come on from this run.” Alizee has the same [The Everest] target and we’d be approachable if anyone wanted to talk to us.”
