QTISx Raises The Bar For Queensland

Monday, 2nd September 2019

Queensland’s thoroughbred industry is continuing to add to its appeal, with a combination of high class stallions, revamped racing carnivals, improving prizemoney and an excellent incentive scheme all contributing. The latter’s Queensland Incentive Thoroughbred Scheme (QTIS) now has an added string to its powerful bow following a weekend announcement to coincide with the start of the new breeding season. As of Sunday, there is now QTISx, an expansion of the original incentive offering, that provides bonuses on black-type and feature races conducted in Queensland, along with a raft of additional enhancements (see details in below item). For the first time, the winners of QTISx bonuses will have the option of ‘doubling up’ their winnings through the redemption of a voucher which can be applied to selected Queensland yearling sales, including the Magic Millions and Capricornia Yearling Sale. “QTISx is the latest initiative in our highly regarded thoroughbred breeding incentive scheme,” RQ CEO Brendan Parnell said. “We unashamedly want people to back Queensland, buy Queensland and breed Queensland. Importantly, QTISx doesn’t just incentivise Queensland owners, it also recognises the invaluable role played by our breeders within the Sunshine State and acknowledges their excellence.”
