Sebring's Princess Joy Joy Commences Career

Thursday, 4th July 2019

Having passed away earlier this year, Gr1 Golden Slipper-winning sire Sebring was a significant loss to the industry, and this Thursday in the HRC Motel Maiden Plate at Hawkesbury, his well-bred 3YO daughter Princess Joy Joy will take on the older horses in her first race track appearance. Drawn the outside gate in the field of 11, the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained filly will be ridden by Kathy O’Hara over the 1100m trip. She is out of Bite The Bullet mare Joleur, dam of Listed winners Upon This Rock (Fastnet Rock), Bhutane Dane (Danehill Dancer) and Gaze On (Intergaze). Joleur is a sister to Gr3 winner Mica’s Pride, dam of Gr1 winners Criterion (Sebring) and Comin’ Through (Fastnet Rock), Gr2 winner Varenna Miss (Redoute’s Choice) and the Listed winner Silently (Anabaa). This is also the family of Aquis Farm’s new sire Siege Of Quebec (Fastnet Rock).
