Monday, 1st July 2019

American Triple Crown hero American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile-Littleprincessemma, by Yankee Gentleman) passed an important milestone over the weekend when 2YO colt Maven (American Pharoah-Richies Party Girl, by Any Given Saturday) won France’s Gr3 Prix du Bois (1000m). The first US winner for his sire was sent across to England by trainer Wesley Ward, who elected to on-send the juvenile to Chantilly. Earlier, fellow 2YO colt Monarch of Egypt (ex Gr1 performed Galieo mare Up) finished a solid runner-up for Ballydoyle behind Siskin in the Gr2 Railway Stakes at The Curragh. A Coolmore shuttler, American Pharoah is standing the 2019 Southern Hemisphere fee for $66,000.
