Noble Out To Enhance Dynasty

Thursday, 23rd May 2019

Cambridge Stud principals Brendan and Jo Lindsay have had a fantastic run with the progeny of their foundation mare J'Adane and they are hoping that will continue when Avadane contests the Listed Piazza D'Oro Auckland Futurity Stakes (1400m) at Ellerslie on Saturday. The 2YO daughter of Savabeel could become her dam's fourth individual stakes-winner alongside Von Tunzelman, Prince Jabeel and Sherrif. "There's a little bit more pressure on from the owners," trainer Lance Noble joked to NZ Racing Desk. "J'Adane is Brendan and Jo's foundation broodmare and she has just done an amazing job at stud, so if we could get a bit of black-type with this filly on Saturday we would all be happy. With Avadane being a filly it makes her even more valuable, as she's the next broodmare to carry on the family." Noble has been pleased with Avadane's two starts-to-date, running on well for fourth on debut at Avondale last month before winning over 1200m at Matamata a fortnight ago. Noble believes the step up to 1400m will suit his filly, but he said she is going through a growth spurt at the moment. The Noble stable has experienced a great season to date, boasting an impressive strike-rate of 16 wins from only 84 starts, with two of those at stakes level.
