Hermitage/Waller Racing Buy $1M Redoute's Choice Colt

Thursday, 11th April 2019

Two lots prior to Redoute’s Choice sealing his second million dollar yearling (Lot 315 – see above) at 2019’s Inglis Easter Sale, an auspicious $1 million purchase took place. Lot 313, by Redoute’s Choice out of Anabaa mare Top Cuban, fell to the bid of Hermitage Bloodstock and Chris Waller Racing. The latter trained (and still does) The Autumn Sun for Hermitage Bloodstock, the original owners of Australia’s Champion 3YO-elect, before Arrowfield Stud, who sold him as a yearling, bought back in as managing owner. This yearling is a half-brother to Gr3 BTC Classic winner Havana and three-quarter brother to the untapped Snitzel colt Diplomatico who is already a stakes-winner from only a handful of runs.
