Nearly $3 Million Turnover At MM Tasmania

The 2019 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale returned an all-time record gross of almost $3 million, and an increased clearance rate of 77 per cent. Local buyer Leigh Winwood has tasted incredible success with past Tasmanian Yearling Sale graduates and he went to $100,000 to secure Lot 116, the Charge Forward colt from Tara's Spur offered by Grenville Stud. Winwood has led the ownership groups of star sale graduates including Royal Rapture, Kenjorwood and Queen La Diva. Also active among local buyers were leading Tasmanian trainers Scott Brunton (7 lots at $244,000) and Adam Trinder (5 lots at $157,500).
