Brazen Beau Progeny Red Hot At Classic
Dual Gr1-winning Darley stallion Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible-Sansadee, by Snaadee) had a field day at the 2019 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale on Tuesday when two of his yearlings brought over $1 million between them. Already the sire of high profile juveniles Tassort, Accession, First Dawn and Pretty Brazen, Brazen Beau had just nine representatives in the Inglis Classic catalogue, with five of them fetching between $190,000 and $550,000. Setting a new Classic record of $550,000 on Tuesday, Lot 609 was consigned by Murrulla Stud. If the colt was in-demand before the weekend, he became even hotter property when his promising half-sister Rock Dove scored a comfortable win for Godolphin in last Sunday’s Listed Strutt Stakes. He was purchased by leading agent Bruce Perry Bloodstock. Later on during the session, Lot 666, another son of Brazen Beau was knocked down for $480,000. Consigned by Aquis Farm Operations, he’s out of a half-sister to Gr1-placed multiple Group winner Court Command. Brazen Beau's ended the sale as leading sire by average ($247,857). Incredibly, Brazen Beau now holds the record of siring the top three Classic lots ever sold.
