Valuable Brazen Beau Colt On Debut
Given the very good start by the first 2YO crop of Champion 3YO Brazen Beau, there is plenty of interest in his emerging stock. Already the sire of Golden Slipper favourite Tassort, Accession, winner of the RL Inglis Nursery, and Listed Merson Cooper S.-placed First Dawn, Brazen Beau has 9 yearling representatives in the Inglis Classic Sale which starts this week. The buying bench could get another reminder of the merits of investing in Brazen Beau’s stock when valuable debutant Audacious Beau takes to the track today at Warrnambool. Out of Encosta de Lago mare Flute of Bubbly, Audacious Beau is a half-brother to Denman filly Shigeru Sendan, winner of the Listed Woodlands Stakes at Scone. Initially knocked down as a weanling for $300,000 at the 2017 Magic Millions National Sale, the colt went through the ring again as a yearling at Inglis Easter when sold through the Middlebrook Valley draft for the same amount. Audacious Beau is trained by Peter Gelagotis and heads to the track after a close up second in a Werribee trial over 800m.
