At Caulfield racecourse in Melbourne, Emirates Park's & Aquis Farm's 5-time Gr1-winning shuttler Dream Ahead (Diktat-Land Of Dreams, by Cadeaux Genereux) added a Group race success when 4YO Australian-bred mare Shumookh (Dream Ahead-Shamekha, by Secret Savings) registered the second stakes win of her short career when bounding to a dominant front-running win in the $200,000 Gr2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) for 4YO+ mares, defeating Invincibella & Aloisia. A homebred for Emirates Park, Shumookh is out of former top-class mare Shamekha, winner of the Gr1 TJ Smith Stakes, Gr1 All Aged Stakes and Gr1 Coolmore Classic. Shumookh improved her record to 3 wins (including the Gr2 Golden Pendant) and 4 placings (including the Gr1 Surround Stakes & Gr2 Light Fingers Stakes) from 9 starts for $512,695 in earnings. Co-trainer Gai Waterhouse said Shumookh would now head to the Gr1 Empire Rose Stakes (1600m) at Flemington on November 3.
