Well Bred Filly Bolts Up in Trial
Beautifully bred filly Maggie Miss (Medaglia d'Oro-Rekindled Glory, by Redoute's Choice) lived up to her pedigree when scoring an explosive 12.8 length trial win at Randwick on Tuesday. Prepared by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, Maggie Miss was purchased by her trainers for $180,000 at the 2017 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale from the draft of Bhima Thoroughbreds. The unraced 3YO is by Medaglia d'Oro out of Rekindled Glory (Redoute's Choice-Rekindled Affair, by Rainbow Quest), a full sister to former smart gallopers Rekindled Interest and Rekindled Alliance. Rekindled Interest was a dual Gr2 winner of the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes & Moonee Valley Vase, and was also placed behind Pinker Pinker in the 2011 Gr1 Cox Plate, while Rekindled Alliance was Group-placed on multiple occasions, including in the Gr2 Phar Lap Stakes & Gr2 Tulloch Stakes. The future looks bright with @GaiWaterhouse1 & Adrian Bott-trained Bhima graduates Maggie Miss and Show Some Leg (chestnut - Trial 12) impressively winning their @RoyalRandwick trials by a combined 18 3/4L this morning.
