Nature Strip In Everest Frame

Monday, 13th August 2018

Boom Victorian sprinter Nature Strip (Nicconi-Strikeline, by Desert Sun) is expected to earn himself a place in The Everest field later in the year with connections reportedly in discussions with at least one slot-holder, reports racing.com. Trainer Darren Weir described Nature Strip as the fastest horse in Australia after his stunning last-start win in the Listed Lightning Stakes (1050m) at Morphettville. "In the past few days, there has been an inquiry about Nature Strip," Weir told Melbourne's Radio Sport National yesterday. "I've left it to the owners. The people who have enquired and the owners are going to work something out over the next couple of weeks." Weir added: "Hopefully they can work out something and the horse can get a spot in the race, because the horse is in unbelievable order. Hopefully the owners can work out a deal to get a slot and get in the race." Nature Strip has established himself as easily the most exciting sprinter in the country winning 7 of his 10 starts to date.
