Day Out For Bonneval

Wednesday, 25th July 2018

Reigning New Zealand Horse of the Year and multiple Group 1 winner Bonneval continued her build-up to the spring with a 1000m gallop alongside stable-mate Jon Snow at Taupo yesterday, reports NZ Racing Desk. "It was a nice hit-out, just a day away from the stable to break up the routine," co-trainer Andrew Forsman said. Bonneval's recovery from a suspensory ligament injury suffered in the summer has delighted her connections. "Everything is looking good and the joint seems fine," added Forsman. "We'll know far more after the Te Teko trials on 7 August and then make firm plans for Melbourne from there." Bonneval hasn't raced since finishing 14th in the Caulfield Cup last October. Forsman said that Australian Derby winner Jon Snow would be entered in the Group 1 Tarzino Trophy (1400m) at Hastings on 1 September.
