At Rosehill Gardens in Sydney, Coolmore's former Gr1-winning Champion Australian Sire Fastnet Rock (Danehill-Piccadilly Circus, by Royal Academy) added a black-type success when 5YO Australian-bred gelding Dreamforce (Fastnet Rock-Eskimo Queen, by Shinko King) opened his stakes account when overcoming a wide barrier to score a tough win in the $150,000 Listed Winter Stakes (1400m) for 3YO+, defeating Invinzabeel & Special Missile. The progressive Dreamforce improved his record to 8 wins and 6 placings (including the Listed Civic Stakes) from 18 starts for $432,485 in earnings. Foaled and raised at Kitchwin Hills, Dreamforce, who is out of Gr1 Queensland Oaks and Gr1 Coolmore Classic winner Eskimo Queen, was retained by his breeders when failing to reach his reserve of $250,000 at the 2014 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale. Trainer John Thompson has some Group 1 targets in mind for Dreamforce if he continues to improve. "He is just such an honest horse and tries all the time. He's called Rocky around the stable because he never gives up," Thompson told Sky Racing. "I'll give him a freshen-up and get him ready for some of the mile races in Melbourne. I think races like the Toorak Handicap where he will get in with a light weight will suit him." Thompson added: "I'd also like to take him to Perth for the Railway. I think he's the right sort of horse for that and I've had success there before."
