Emperor To Continue Winning Way
Peter Snowden expects progressive stayer Emperor's Way (Roman Emperor-Laylia, by Redoute's Choice) to continue on his upward spiral when he runs in the Listed $150,000 Winter Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on Saturday. The lightly raced 4YO is in career-best form having won five of his past six starts, including a maiden stakes win in the Listed Randwick City Stakes (2000m) at his most recent outing. "He was winning at a soft time of year but winning well and overcoming difficulties and winning," Snowden told racingnsw.com.au. "He's come back a big stronger and has a pedigree that suggests he will get better as he gets older." Snowden added: "If he keeps getting better he might measure up to something in the spring. At this stage I'm looking at the Wyong Cup, whether we go further time will tell."
