At Flemington racecourse in Melbourne, Widden Stud's former Australian champion 2YO colt Sebring (More Than Ready-Purespeed, by Flying Spur) added a Group race success when 2YO Australian-bred colt Good 'N' Fast (Sebring-For The Good Times, by Hennessy) overcame a burden of 60kg to open his stakes account with a narrow win in the $120,000 Listed Taj Rossi Series Final (1600m) for 2YOs, defeating Scottish Rogue & Goldifox. Good 'N' Fast improved his record to 2 wins and 1 placing from 3 starts for $173,200 in earnings. Co-trainer David Hayes nominated the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas as a potential target for Good 'N' Fast in the spring. "I think he's pretty classy - a Guineas type," Hayes told racing.com. "We'll just back right off him now for a month. Over the years some good horses have won this race and gone on to the spring, so that's what we're hoping with him." Hayes added: "He's a very good looking horse. He might be a stallion prospect."
