Alinghi Relation Set for Debut

Wednesday, 4th July 2018

Meanwhile, another regally bred and valuable juvenile set to make his debut today is the Robbie Griffiths-trained Oceanity. Owned by Darren Dance's Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock, Oceanity is by Arrowfield's incumbent Champion Australian Sire Snitzel out of Slice Of Paradise (Encosta de Lago-Oceanfast, by Monde Bleu), a stakes-placed full-sister to 2004/05 Champion Australian Filly Alinghi. This makes Oceanity a three-quarter brother to Arrowfield Stud's deceased Gr1-placed stallion Beneteau (Redoute's Choice-Slice Of Paradise, by Encosta de Lago). Oceanity, who is set to make his debut in the Le Pine Funerals Handicap Two-Years-Old Colts and Geldings Handicap (1000m) at Sandown in Melbourne, was purchased by Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock, CB Bloodstock & Griffiths Racing for $1 million at the 2017 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale from the draft of Arrowfield Stud. Oceanity is rated a $6.50 chance in TAB's pre-post market.
