Flying Adelaide Filly Ready for Wyong Classic
Adelaide trainer Lloyd Kennewell says talented filly La Pomme De Pin is in top shape ahead of next Thursday's $200,000 Magic Millions Classic (1100m) at Wyong. The 2YO I Am Invincible filly will use the Wyong race as her final preparatory run for the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on 13 January. La Pomme De Pin is currently rated a $15 chance with TAB for the Gold Coast sales restricted feature after her brilliant 5.5 length win in the Magic Millions 2YO Clockwise Classic (1000m) at Ballarat. "She's really well and has done well since her win at Ballarat," Kennewell told racingnsw.com.au. "She had a few days at the farm and she's having a gallop on Wednesday at Warnambool." Kennewell added: "She will head off on Sunday for the trip to Wyong. I think the extra distance at Wyong will suit her and if she runs well then she'll head on to the Gold Coast." An $85,000 Magic Millions purchase, La Pomme De Pin is the fourth winner for her dam, the winning and Sydney placed Danehill mare Crimson Lane, a daughter of stakes winner Crimson Road and a half-sister to the almost $1 million earner Crimson Reign.
