Stable Change for Whispering Brook

Friday, 8th December 2017

Talented Perth mare Whispering Brook is set to join the stable of champion Victorian trainer Darren Weir later this month, reports the West Australian. Managing owner Alan MacAlister said Whispering Brook would continue her racing career under the guidance of Weir or sold as a broodmare prospect next year. "Darren will try with her to see if she's up for a racing campaign over there," MacAlister said. "She'll go to the Magic Millions Gold Coast broodmare sale this year or next year, depending on what Darren says." Whispering Brook (Hinchinbrook-Artful Whisper, by Machiavellian) was crowned champion West Australian 2YO in 2016 after an unbeaten juvenile campaign that netted feature wins in the Gr2 Karrakatta Plate (1200m) and Gr3 WA Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m). However, the now 4YO has failed to win a race since claiming the Sires' Produce in April last year.
