Juddmonte Draft Lights Up Day-3 Tatts Mare Sale
The third day of the Tattersalls December Mare Sale continued strongly with Presiding Officer (Beat Hollow) from the Juddmonte Farms draft topping the day when knocked down to James Delahooke on behalf of US-based Pursuit of Success LLC for 325,000 guineas. The well-related 3YO is a sister to Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac winner Proportional as well as Gr3 Park Express Stakes winner Vote Often. Another to sell well was Frima, a half-sister to Australian Gr3 winner Jet Away for 180,000 guineas. Frima hails from the family of blue hen mare Hasili and was purchased by Dermot Farrington and Paul Makin’s Makin Stallions. A total of 183 lots made 6,519,200 guineas at an average of 35,624 guineas and a median of 19,000 guineas taking the two week December Sale turnover past 100 million guineas.
