Coolmore Ireland Announces Triple Stud Recruits

Tuesday, 31st October 2017

In the approach to 2018’s Northern Hemisphere breeding season, Coolmore Ireland has announced three new stallions that will make their breeding debuts, reports thoroughbreddailynews.com. The trio comprises Caravaggio (Scat Daddy-Mekko Hokte, by Holy Bull), Churchill (Galileo-Meow, by Storm Cat) & Highland Reel (Galileo-Hveger, by Danehill). While dual Gr1-winning sprinter Caravaggio (see below) has had his fee set at €35,000, multiple Gr1-winning 2 & 3YO Churchill’s fee is yet to be decided as the brilliant colt is carded to run at next weekend’s Gr1 Breeders’ Cup meeting in the US. The same fee status applies to frequent flyer and Breeders’ Cup entrant Highland Reel, whose exceptional global results included a placing in Winx’s 2015 Gr Cox Plate. He is out of successful Australian-bred broodmare Hveger, a full or half-sibling to Gr1 winners Elvstroem and Haradasun, from the exceptional Circles of Gold family.
