Undefeated Stonebrook Facing Acid Test

Wednesday, 4th October 2017

At Canterbury in Sydney this afternoon, connections of promising 4YO gelding Stonebrook (Hinchinbrook-Calaluna) will get a strong guide as to just how untapped he is in Race 5. The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained galloper was put away after winning on debut at Hawkesbury before making his race return at Kembla Grange as odds-on favourite, where he won as he liked. While well fancied at $2.90, Stonebrook is meeting some quality opposition, including beautifully bred and consistent performer Our Royal Egyptian (Fastnet Rock-Our Egyptian Raine) and Godolphin's even money favourite Marsupial. By Street Cry from Koala Bear, Marsupial has been mixing it with top company in races like the Black Opal Stakes, Bailleau Stakes and Heritage Stakes.
