All American To Stand At Geisel Park Stud

Thursday, 24th March 2016

Geisel Park Stud owner Eddie Rigg has signed a deal to stand the former outstanding 2YO All American (Red Ransom-Milva, by Strawberry Road) in Western Australia this year. "I was sure we had the right horse in All American prior to the Slipper but I'm pinching myself now that Yankee Rose (runner-up) has announced herself as the real deal," Rigg said. "She heads the market for the Gr1 Sires' Produce Stakes and looks a bona-fide star in the making." Rigg enlisted the services of well-known bloodstock agent Mark Pilkington, who secured All American as a yearling at the 2007 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for $220,000. "He had bought him as a yearling and fortunately still managed some of the part-owners' interests so we were able to facilitate a deal," said Rigg. All American will stand at a very competitive introductory fee of $10,000 (+ gst) with 15 early-bird nominations at $7,000 (+ gst) available. All American - who posted the fastest time ever recorded by an entire for 1600m at Flemington when he defeated 6 Gr1-winners to win the 2009 Gr1 Emirates Stakes in 1min 33.98sec - is a half-brother to multiple Group-winning filly More Strawberries and hails from the US family of dual Gr1-winning stallion Rock Hard Ten.
