Aerovelocity Seeking Further International Riches

Thursday, 17th March 2016

Outstanding Hong Kong-based New Zealand-bred sprinter Aerovelocity (Pins-Exodus, by Kaapstad) has arrived in Japan where he will bid to defend his title in Sunday week's Gr1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen (1200m) at Chukyo racecourse, reports NZ Racing Desk. The Paul O'Sullivan-trained son of Pins is coming off a last-start victory in the Gr1 Centenary Sprint Cup (1200m) at Sha Tin which boosted his record to 11 wins (also including the Gr1 Krisflyer International Sprint & Gr1 Hong Kong Sprint) from 20 starts for nearly $NZ6 million earnings. Aerovelocity looked beaten in last year's edition of the Takamatsunomiya Kinen, before jumping out of the ground in the final 50 metres to defeat Hakusan Moon and Mikki Isle.
