Bring Me The Maid Ready To Produce Best
Meanwhile, Peter Moody rates talented filly Bring Me The Maid (Sebring-Maid for Me, by Belong to Me) a genuine chance in Saturday's Gr1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m), particularly if she gets her preferred soft ground, reports the Herald Sun. The dual Gr2 winner and Golden Slipper placegetter has put in two encouraging performances this prep and Moody feels she is ready to strike third-up if the ground suits. The daughter of Sebring resumed with an eye-catching second behind Delectation in the Gr2 Arrowfield Sprint at Randwick on 11 April, before producing a similar effort when running home strongly for fourth behind Hot Snitzel in the Gr1 BTC Cup at her most recent outing. "She's always shown she runs best with the sting out of the ground and after a shower yesterday (Monday) we're hoping for a soft track," said Moody. "She's well, fit and her two lead-up races have been good." Bring Me The Maid goes into the Doomben 10,000 as the only 3YO filly in the race and will consequently carry 55kg, 4kg less than top-weight Temple Of Boom. She will be partnered by Kerrin McEvoy and jump from barrier 2.
