First Winner For Dream Ahead

Tuesday, 19th May 2015

Dream Dreamer became the first winner for Emirates Park 5-time Gr1-winning shuttler Dream Ahead (Diktat-Land Of Dreams, by Cadeaux Genereux) when scoring an impressive 4.5-length win in a 1000m maiden at Windsor in the UK overnight. Winning jockey Jamie Spencer suggested the 2YO filly would not be out of place at Royal Ascot next month. "She liked the ground and got the trip well," jockey Jamie Spencer said. "She's very pacey and this is as far as she wants. She wouldn't disgrace herself at Royal Ascot, but I'm not going to say she is going to win." Trainer Jamie Osborne added, "If she strengthens up in the next few weeks, she could get better but she's quick and a decent early 2-year-old. Without doubt, she will be staying at five furlongs and as she's very tough and sound she could go to Bath on Friday for a novice race." Dream Dreamer, who is out of the Exceed And Excel mare Moonlit Garden, took her record to 1 win from 3 starts for £3,860 in prize money. Dream Ahead stands at Ballylinch Stud in Ireland for €15,000 and shuttles to Emirates Park for the Australian breeding season where he stands for $27,500.
