Brazen Beau Wins Trial

Tuesday, 19th May 2015

Top-class 3YO sprinter Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible-Sansadee, by Snaadee) continued his preparations for Royal Ascot with an impressive barrier trial win in Sydney yesterday. The son of boom Yarraman Park sire I Am Invincible took part in a 900m trial on the inside grass at Rosehill winning by 1-length in a time of 53.7 seconds. The trial was the Chris Waller-trained colt's first public appearance since winning the Gr1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) at Flemington on 14 March. Brazen Beau is due to have his final serious piece of work before flying out to England when he steps out in an 800m jump-out at Flemington on 29 May. He will then depart for England with Oakleigh Plate winner Shamal Wind on 3 June. Both Brazen Beau and Shamal Wind are being aimed at the Gr1 King's Stand Stakes (1000m) at Royal Ascot on 16 June.
