At Morphettville in South Australia, Eliza Park's Gr1 Galaxy-winning stallion Magnus (Flying Spur-Scandinavia, by Snippets) added a Group success when 2YO colt Prince Of Brooklyn (Magnus-Tristabeel, by Zabeel) scored by 2.3-lengths for trainer Mick Price in the $115,000 Gr3 National Stakes (1200m) for 2YOs, over fellow colt Badajoz (Commands-Jerezana, by Lonhro) & 2YO gelding Counter Pulse (Hard Spun-Counter Sue, by Geiger Counter). This was a brilliant debut by Prince Of Brooklyn who took his record to 1 win from 1 start for $73,345 earnings. From the Zabeel mare Tristabeel, Prince Of Brooklyn is a great grandson of 4-time Gr1-winning champion filly Research.
