At Scone in the NSW Hunter Valley, Darling View Thoroughbreds' Gr1-winning stallion Econsul (Pins-Gypsy Soul, by Centaine) added a Group success when 5YO mare Divertire (Econsul-Paris Sweep, by End Sweep) scored by 1-length for trainer Joe Pride in the $200,000 Gr3 Dark Jewel Classic (1400m) for 3YO+ f&m, over 4YO mares Calming Influence (Commands-Calming, by Zeditave) & Bound For Earth (Northern Meteor-Bulla Borghese, by Belong to Me). This was the first stakes victory for the underrated Divertire who took her record to 6 wins and 5 placings from 24 starts for $322,895 earnings. Divertire was purchased by P Karlsson for $21,000 at the 2011 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale from the draft of Woodside Park Stud. Divertire hails from the family of 1997 Champion South African colt Rarotonga Treaty as well as influential UK stallion Sharpen Up, sire of successful stallions Diesis, Kris and Selkirk.
