Rising Romance Leaves Logan Stable

Thursday, 14th May 2015

Star Kiwi mare Rising Romance (Ekraar-Post Romance, by Postponed) has left the Ruakaka stable of Donna Logan as she embarks on the next stage of her career under the care of leading Victorian trainers David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, reports theinformant.co.nz. The Australian Oaks winner departed Auckland for Melbourne yesterday evening. "It was an emotional farewell," Logan Racing said on their website. "She was a stable star. The team at Logan Racing are very proud of her achievements to date and very sorry to see her move, but we wish the owners all the best and hope that 'Sophie' will continue to perform well in the upcoming Australian feature races." Logan guided Rising Romance to 5 wins from 18 starts, including a victory in the Gr1 Australian Oaks and a second placing in last year's Gr1 Caulfield Cup. The daughter of Ekraar will be aimed at the feature staying events in the spring.
