Authorized Adds UK Black-Type

Monday, 11th May 2015

At Lingfield in the UK, triple Gr1-winning former English Derby victor & Darley shuttler Authorized (Montjeu-Funsie, by Saumarez) added a black-type success when 3YO filly Toujours L'Amour (Authorized-High Heel Sneakers, by Dansili) scored by 1.25-lengths for trainer William Haggas in the Listed Lingfield Oaks Trial Stakes (11.5 furlongs) for 3YO fillies, over fellow fillies Bellajeu (Montjeu-Arbella, by Primo Dominie) & Wedding Vow (Galileo-Remember When, by Danehill Dancer). This was the first stakes victory for Toujours L'Amour who took her record to 2 wins from 3 starts for £26,318 earnings. Trainer William Haggas said it was doubtful whether Toujours L'Amour would head towards the English Oaks at Epsom on 5 June, as connections would have to pay the late entry fee. "She's not in the Oaks and the owners would have to be brave," Haggas told Racing Post. "I would think it wouldn't be the plan, but I don't own her. If I had to pay it would probably be a no, but I don't have to pay and it could be a yes."
