Shailers Part Ways

Thursday, 7th May 2015

Matamata horsemen Paul and Kris Shailer have amicably dissolved their training partnership, reports NZ racing Desk. The brothers have gone their separate ways with Paul taking sole control of the stable and Kris joining the Te Akau operation. "We're still great mates and Kris wanted a change so he's back with Stephen Autridge, who he served his apprenticeship with," Paul Shailer said. "Emily Holmes has joined me here and she was with Chris Waller for three years while I was there so we work well together." Shailer said recent Listed Anzac 1600 winner Lady Le Fay had gone to the paddock this week. "We brought her back for a two start campaign and targeted the black type race so it was nice to pull it off, the bonus was the fresh-up win over 1400 metres."
