At Morphettville in South Australia, Eliza Park International's Gr1-winning stallion Wanted (Fastnet Rock-Fragmentation, by Snippets) celebrated his first stakes winner when 2YO gelding Dead Or Alive (Wanted-Sun Lane, by Daylami) scored by 0.9-length for trainer Mick Price in the $80,000 Listed Oaklands Plate (1600m) for 2YOs, over 2YO colt Battle Brewing (Medaglia d'Oro-Elegant Eagle, by Zabeel) & 2YO filly Commiserate (Congrats-Danewell, by Danehill). This was the first stakes victory for Dead Or Alive who took his record to 1 win from 2 starts for $50,000 earnings. Dead Or Alive, who is out of half-sister to French 2,000 Guineas winner Victory Note, was a $110,000 purchase by Mick Price Racing at the 2014 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale from the draft of Musk Creek Farm.
