The Wow Signal Out Of 2000 Guineas
The Wow Signal (Starspangledbanner-Muravka, by High Chaparral) has been ruled out of Saturday's 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket after sustaining an injury, reportsracingposrt.com. Last season's Gr1 Prix Morny winner, who is owned by Al Shaqab Racing, was a general 20-1 chance for the first European Classic of the season but has had his hopes dashed after suffering a setback. "The horse won't run in the Guineas. He has sustained an injury that is being assessed," said Al Shaqab's racing manager Harry Herbert. "It's awful for the sheikh [Joaan Al Thani] and for John [trainer John Quinn] because the horse was training the house down and would have carried the first colours."
