War Front Colt Ups Day-2 Ante At Craven Breeze-Up

Friday, 17th April 2015

A well-pedigreed colt by boom sire War Front has set the annual Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up sales arena alight, reports thoroughbreddailynews.com. Consigned by Mocklershill, who pin-hooked the then yearling from last year's Keeneland September Yearling Sale for US$400,000, agents Alex Elliott and Jamie McCalmont went to a new sale record 850,000 guineas on behalf of Michael Tabor. The War Front colt, who breezed well, is beautifully bred being a half-brother to both Gr1 Spinaway Stakes winner Mani Bhavan and Gr2 winner Hear The Ghost. Underlining just how serious China Horse Club is about its growing global reach was its agent Michael Wallace emerging as underbidder on the record-priced colt.
