Fancy Feet Wins Gr3 Strickland Stakes

At Belmont in Western Australia, deceased former Westbury Park Stud stallion Fath (Danzig-Desirable, by Lord Gayle) sired his first stakes winner when 4YO mare Fancy Feet (Fath-Colourband, by Spectrum) scored by 0.75-length for trainer Shane Quilty in the $125,000 Gr3 Strickland Stakes (2000m) for 3YO+, over 7YO geldings Ranger (Testa Rossa-Marrich Bay, by Old Spice) & Bridgestone (Pentire-Golden Dawn, by Gold Brose). Fancy Feet took her record to 6 wins and 3 placings (including the Listed WATC St Leger Stakes & Listed Natasha Stakes) from 22 starts for $222,459 earnings. Fath died in early 2012 when bitten by snake at Westbury Park Stud in West Australia.
