Dubawi Sires 13th Gr1 Winner

At Meydan racecourse in Dubai, triple Gr1-winning Darley shuttler Dubawi (Dubai Millennium-Zomaradah, by Deploy) sired his 13th Gr1 winner when 7YO gelding Prince Bishop (Dubawi-North East Bay, by Prospect Bay) scored by 1.25-lengths for trainer Saeed Bin Suroor in the Gr1 Al Maktoum Challenge Round 3 (10 furlongs) for 3YO+, over 4YO South African gelding Sanshaawes (Ashaawes-Vicario, by Northern Guest) & 5YO entire Sufer (Distorted Humor-Surf Club, by Ocean Crest). The Irish-bred Prince Bishop took his record to 9 wins (including the last-start Gr2 Al Maktoum Challenge Round 2, Gr2 Prix du Conseil de Paris & Gr3 September Stakes) and 4 placings (including the Gr1 Al Maktoum Challenge Round 3) from 23 starts. National Stakes, Irish 2,000 Guineas and Prix Jacques le Marois winner Dubawi, from the sole crop of Dubai Millennium, had his fee at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket increased to £100,000 from £75,000 this year, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com.
