Dwyer Sets Sights On March Return

Wednesday, 12th February 2014

English jockey Martin Dwyer is hoping to be back riding as early as next month after suffering a bad fall at Southwell in January, reports express.co.uk. The 2006 Derby-winning hoop was unseated from Columbian Roulette when three lengths clear of the field in a mile handicap at the Nottinghamshire course. He was taken to hospital for observation after being unconscious for several minutes and has been treated for concussion. "I feel really good. I've been doing a lot of physio and rehab," he said. "I'm just working my way up to pass the concussion test. I'm working my way up to full fitness and should be back in the saddle the first week of March, hopefully."
